Who We Are & What We Do
Crafted With Care
Specialists in designing and crafting unique high quality fitted and free standing fine bespoke furniture and cabinetry. We are also able to supply a complete package of coordinated furniture, joinery and flooring, which really gives a unique distinctive look.
Our craftsmen make furniture for bedrooms, dressing rooms, bathrooms, living rooms, studies and kitchens - a whole home solution. We work closely with private clients, interior designers, specifiers and architects to produce the desired solutions. All design specifications and requirements can sometimes be quite challenging, but they are also all always achievable by us.
Materials That We Use
Various materials are used to manufacture and finish our furniture including, but not limited to: natural timbers, veneered panels, metals, fabrics, plastics, marmoleum, leather, acrylics and glass. Ironmongery, lighting and fittings of various types can be supplied and fitted to our bespoke furniture or if required, can be manufactured to your own design.
Finishes can vary from sprayed satin or matt paint, polished high gloss paint, opaque or translucent varnishes, lacquers or oils and waxes.
As all of our pieces are individually designed and produced, it would be misleading for us to state exact costs. Any that are shown are meant as a guide only and are inclusive of delivery and fitting within the UK. We will gladly, with no obligation, consult with you and based upon your needs give an initial budget costing for your project.
All desires can be catered for, but regardless of cost, our fine bespoke furniture, cabinetry and joinery are always second to none.
All materials that we use are, wherever possible, ecologically friendly and timber is always only obtained from known approved sources that are either FSC or PEFC certified. We do try to care for the environment that we live in.
How We Work & Our Normal Procedures
Site Visit & Requirements Identification
Upon reciept of your initial enquiry we will contact you to arrange a site visit. At this, we can discuss and note your requirements and if required advise upon the most suitable materials, fittings and finishes. We will also conduct a site survey to take structural dimensions and assess any site peculiarities.
Initial Specification & Budget Costing
Following on from the first stage, we will prepare an initial brief specification and provide a budget costing based upon our discussions and your brief. We are quite amenable to passing this stage through several cycles until such time as you are satisfied that we have understood your requirements.
Design & Amendment
If the initial specification and budget costing are agreeable, we will then prepare a detailed design. This typically includes scale drawings and conceptual diagrams. If we feel it neccessary, additional site visits may be required to confirm any final details. We will also start to assemble the component parts of the specification at this point in preparation for presentation at the next stage.
Quotation & Contract
The final specification, drawings and a contract will be produced and the client will be required to acknowledge and sign all of these documents before manufacturing can commence. At this point the first stage payment of 50% of the total agreed contract sum will be required.
We will provide an initial estimated completion date and will periodically advise of progress throughout. Please note that manufacturing timescales can vary greatly dependant on current workload, complexity of the design, materials availability, finishes required and so forth. At the same time we would ask that preparations are made on site for delivery and installation, typically for fitted furniture, joinery and stairs, this can involve electrical, plumbing and other construction works.
Delivery & Installation
When we know the manufacturing completion date, we will agree a mutually acceptable date for the delivery and installation, which may be made in stages. Installation usually starts on the same day as delivery and can take several days, dependant upon the complexity of the installation. We may also wish to make a site visit prior to delivery, to confirm that the site will be ready for us to install on the agreed date. The second stage payment of 50% will be required before delivery and installation is commenced.
