Day

Nameless, faceless, without cause,
the day begins anew.
The golden light is without pause
through it the skies are blue
It conquers and covers, it can’t be outrun
all lose to it in a race
And then, when it, the day, is done
an absence, a darkness takes place
But day will come, and night will flee
from the shadows, darkness is ripped
And I will always greet the day
a smile, upon me, lipped
